Project Overview

People in Need (PIN) has been operating in Cambodia since 2008, focusing on human rights and sustainable development. Under the SWITCH to Solar initiative, the project aims to promote sustainable consumption in the agri-fishery sector by supporting the adoption of solar solutions through local Solar Technology Providers (STPs).

Objective & Scope

Mangrove Studio was engaged not just to produce content, but to work alongside the project and its beneficiaries to strengthen how their solutions are communicated and adopted.

The goal was to support STPs in both technical understanding and market promotion by translating complex solar solutions into clear, practical, and compelling communication that can drive real usage and impact.

Our Approach

We acted as a communication partner to the project and its beneficiaries, focusing on how to effectively position, explain, and promote solar solutions:

  • Communication Strategy & Messaging
    Worked closely with PIN and STPs to define clear messaging frameworks—ensuring solar solutions are easy to understand, relevant to users, and aligned with market needs.
  • Capacity Support for Beneficiaries
    Guided STPs on how to communicate their products more effectively—both in terms of technical knowledge transfer and sales positioning.
  • Content Development & Execution
    Developed a series of practical and engaging content assets (including visual materials) that simplify technical processes and strengthen sales narratives, making them usable across different channels and audiences.
  • Multi-Channel Dissemination
    Ensured the materials were adaptable for digital platforms, community engagement, and on-ground usage—maximizing reach and usability.

Results & Impact

Through this collaboration, STPs were better equipped to communicate, demonstrate, and promote their solar solutions. The project achieved stronger engagement with target users, improved understanding of solar technologies, and increased capacity among providers to drive adoption.

Ultimately, the work contributed to advancing sustainable practices in Cambodia’s agri-fishery sector by bridging the gap between technical solutions and real-world adoption.

Conclusion

Mangrove Studio’s role went beyond content production—we helped translate technical innovation into accessible, actionable communication.
